چکیده
In this article, we developed a thermodynamically consistent non-local microcracking model for quasi-brittle materials with application to concrete. The is implemented using novel graph-based finite element analysis (GraFEA) approach that allows (i) the probabilistic modeling of growth and coalescence microcracks, (ii) crack closure kinematics-based approach, (iii) rate effects on microcracking. theoretical its computational framework also into dynamics-based Abaqus/Explicit program through vectorized user-material subroutine interface. We further demonstrate procedure obtaining parameters (including intrinsic material length scale, which governs fracture process) consequently validate simulations independent experimental results.

Cracks Analysis in Zavin Concrete Dam Using Fracture Mechanics Approach
Most of the existing concrete dams are subjected to cracking. These cracks are caused by various factors such as construction practices, curing, loads and volume change of mass concrete which reduce the efficiency, failure or instability of concrete dams. Using fracture mechanics as a new method to estimate stability and durability of concrete dams is recommended in scientific publications in w...
متن کاملFracture mechanics-based life prediction of a riveted lap joint
In this paper, three-dimensional modeling of the fatigue crack growth profiles was performed in a simple riveted lap joint. Simulation results showed that mode I was dominated on the one side of the plates and the crack straightly grew on this side, while the other side of the plates was in a mixed-mode condition and the crack propagation path was not straight on this side. Afterward, the fract...

متن کاملComputational Fracture Mechanics
The classical, overall objective of fracture mechanics is the determination of the rate of change of the shape of an existing crack. Will it propagate under given loading and environmental conditions, and, if it does propagate, at what rate and into what configuration will it do so? The corresponding computational requirement has been to obtain the fields – displacement, strain, stress, and ene...
